How should we be involved financially in our son's second marriage?
Is there protocol for this type of situation? We knew that the first woman he married was not a good fit for him, but he was not convinced. Now, at age 32, is divorced and seeing a woman who is a good fit for him and blends well into our family. While there is no formal engagement, I suspect there will be one in the near future. I'm trying to get an understanding of how we should support this, especially since we already paid for much in the previous marriage.

I'd suggest (emphatically) that no parent should be involved in a 32 year old child's finances, nor should a parent be expecting a marriage before there is any hint of one.

I think you're too involved. YOU decide who is and who is not a good fit for him?
