    Journal entry to move expenses
How would you move expenses from one Quickbooks file to another?

Look if there has been a misallocation of a transaction you just go back to the entry and change the allocation and confirm the change but if you want to do it more formally you use a journal. The software is fairly forgiving and won't let you make too many mistakes.

To find the entry you can list the transactions in the account and open the transaction with the wrong allocation

If you have recorded the transaction in the wrong set of books it is possible to delete a transaction but this might cause problems if it isn't an outstanding transaction in a reconciliation

You can use suspense accounts in both sets of books to pass the other side of the entry through. I would try deleting the wrong transaction and reentering it correctly
