My Dog won't eat.

Yesterday my dog was taken to the vet - he has not eaten or drank in 3 days. He was throwing up grass - the vet also said their was mulch in his bowel. He was also lethargic and had sunken eyes (he was very sick). He had an x-ray (nothing serious showed) and was given liquids for his dehydration and an antibotic. Today, there is no change. He is at the vet again for liquids. The vet feels that he might have to see an internist for this problem. He seems to be out of answers.

Can, you give me any advice.

Your vet is consulting an intern? Maybe a specialist?

Sometimes things that are very serious don't show up on x-rays. X-rays will only show radiopaque objects... If he ate something that isn't solid and radiopaque, than the x-ray picture won't show it. And I don't believe wood is radiopaque in small numbers spread throughout the GI tract.

Your best bet would be to do an exploratory and go to a different vet. And until something is found out, I would just have him drink pedialyte and drink chicken broth. If he eats something and has a BM, something my rip...
