I have a 2007 L120 jhon deere rideing mower I was mowing and I herd a pop sound. Now my mower will not go in gear and the brakes will not work. Can someone please tell me why it is doing this. The belts are in good shape

Never heard of one making a pop. Things to check would be the linkage from the pedals to the transaxle. You say the belts are fine; does that mean the drive belt is tensioned or may there be a broken spring? Another would be to have someone else sit onboard and to look at the transaxle inpur sheave past the right rear tire.
Something does not quite track; more info would be nice.
