Your best bet is the HP Evy. I know that it is a bit expensive, but it is well worth it and long lasting with essential care.

Any specific reason for that one? Just wondering

Base on my research, review from my dad & my brother, reviews for each company websites & costumers reviews on the internet. I also have been to Best Buy, Future Shop, Wal-Mart and The Source & they told me that HP, Acer, Toshiba & some Apple. They also told me that some customers have problem with Sony they they would recommend it, but it is all up to me. Dell is not long lasting, but it is a good brand. They only got a maximum of two returns on Toshiba Laptops in all the years they work there. They said Lenovo was OK, if I don`t mind buying a laptop the next two-three years from now.

Make sure to double-check the specs to get exactly what you want in that HP 6-1010us. My boyfriend wanted a laptop with an optical drive, just because he gets a lot of CD textbooks for school and stuff. And on the website it said that it did have one, so he bought it and not only does it NOT have an optical drive but the website now says that they don't include one. So yeah, BEWARE.
p.s. he called HP but they're (of course) denying ever having put that lie on their website.
