Have your gallbladder checked! If you have insurance ask for an ultrasound. Sharp pain on the right side of back/ abdomen, stomach troubles, are a sign of gallbladder issues.

Although most of us experts may know the answer, we do hesitate to diagnose a problem.. We don't diagnose on AMHD and really should add a disclaimer that we don't when we post a medical answer.

Although the gallbladder may be the case, we absolutely do not know the medical condition, or medical history of the person posting, so it becomes very dangerous to make a statement.

If you have a medical background, fill out your profile with any pertinent information.:)

I don't have a medical background, I just signed up for this thing anyway. My ' experience' is that I'm currently myself dealing with a gallbladder that's not working right, and the person is describing something that sounds like a gallbladder issue. If anyone comes on here thinking to get a professional diagnosis then they don't know much about the internet or how medical professions work. I was just offering advice. Notice I didn't tell them to get their gallbladder removed... I said to get it checked. They would obviously have to go to a doctor for that, and get a diagnosis through them.

AMHD members refrain from diagnosing - the suggestion is that the OP consult with a Physician who will diagnose and recommend testing as appropriate.

"If you have insurance ask for an ultrasound"? Without insurance the OP should just suffer?

Hi, Tick - welcome to Amateur Night on AMHD.

Too bad you don't work in the medical profession - oh wait, you do.

Without insurance ultrasounds are insanely expensive. 700 dollars at least. So if that person has that kind of money to do that with, go for it. I just mentioned insurance because it would be much easier to get it with insurance. And I didn't anything on this site that says you have to have a medical background to give advice in medical areas. If I pretended I was a doctor and told someone to do things that could hurt them, now that would be a problem. All I suggested was that the person get checked.

And by the way, you are a little creepy, posting other threads I've commented on for no reason except to... what? I said nothing on that thread that I'd take back. Can't help but notice this site is filled with people who seem to answer other people's questions for the sheer snobbery of pretending they know better than everyone else. Whereas I actually came on this site for an answer and decided to give advice on things I have had experience with, not pretending that I'm someone a Genius because I post constantly all day like some people. So you think that if I had oh... 2000 posts on here I'd be considered ' wise' enough to answer questions? I think you people have an ego issue, and if I'm going to be stalked on this site by people like you then I'll just leave the sitting on your throne dishing out crappy advice to the rest of you
