Getting insulted for no reason by guys in my class

I' am 19 and am a graduate student... I' am kind of chubby but now am in my ideal weight my height is 5'2 and weigh 60kgs. There is this one guy in my class who always insults me saying I' am fat and there is another guy who said I need to get sexy :/ I have not even done anything wrong for them... I' am a very friendly person and also very helpful... I' am a very decent dresser I don't believe in exposing myslef to others just to grab attention and stuff. I don't understand why they still insult me like that it really hurts makes me feel like losing more weight :( I' am actually losing all my confidence and getting more stressed as well! However I have a BF who thinks am perfect but you know girls tend to worry when guys insult like that! So if any guys see this post please let me know why these people are making such comments for me :(

They are doing this because they know they can "get to" you. Basically, they are bullies who have to put someone else down so they can feel better about themselves. Now, what do you do about all that? How can you handle it in the best way for yourself to not lose self esteem?

They are doing it because they are jerks. I would not worry about what they have to say. You don't allow the opinions or actions of ignorant people affect how you feel about yourself.

Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

It's a good saying to put to life if you're constantly attacked by the way you look. Worked for me growing up, I had the same situation, but it was like 99% of the class insulting me not just two.

Don't listen to and take seriously anything these guys mumble.

I would say that is what they mean.

But it doesn't matter.

You're sexy to someone, and that someone is your boyfriend. That is all that matters.

I don't understand why you are bothered by this, especially them saying you need to get sexy. You have a boyfriend, Why are you tripping over what these two boys say about your being sexy?
These are the actions of two jerks. Ignore them.

Yes, true, you guys are right. I really should care about what they say, but you know sometimes it's embarrassing when they do that in front of the entire class. Also, I was curious to know why they do it to me; however, I will try my best not to care about what they say :). Thanks for the replies, everyone. They were very helpful.

Really I would think it's more embarrassing for them to be announcing that to the whole class. They might as well stand up and say "Hey everyone, I'm a douschebag."

I can understand how you must be feeling. If they continue to do that more then simply complain to the teachers or higher authorities. They can not do whatever they want. But be careful of those bullies and involve your parents in this. Take care...

What hurts is that even after losing so much weight they tend to tease me! But I' am not going to care anymore... if they don't like me it's their problem not mine! I should actually thank all those who replied to this question! They made me feel better :)

That's the right attitude to deal with this problem. You are on the right track. Don't lose weight further or else you will be spoiling your health.

Glad to see the state of mind changed. Keep up that attitude, not only with this situation but with life and you will be happy in all your travels.

You are going to have to come up with some snappy comebacks. Sometimes people just say rude things because they know they are hurting someone else.
When they see that they are not "getting to you", they will probably back down. You can say something like: "My man likes it" or "I think you need to talk to my boyfriend" or take out your cell phone and ask them if they want you to call your boyfriend. Do and say these things in a joking way, and maybe the guys won't feel threatened enough to increase the rudeness to another level, but they will think that they are not upsetting you, and move on. The important thing is not to portray yourself as a victim because bullies love that kind of power.
