How to stop my daughters dad taking her
    Hi,
My daughter has a daughter who is 21 months old, she knows who the father is and his name is on the birth certificate, he has seen her once in her little life andhas paid nothing for her at all. She has just recently applied to the csa as she knows he has a job, my worry is he is a phillapino guy who is over here on a student visa, so if he pays csa then it gives him carte blanc to see her daughter and more worrying is that he will one day disappear with her back home and we will see no more of her, is there anything my daughter can do to protect her baby?

Sure. Get a court decree giving her custody and giving him only limited visitation in the discretion of the mother. And while she is at it, she should apply for child support.

It's not likely he would be able leave the country with her: both parents' permission is generally necessary to obtain a passport for a minor.

First just paying child support does not give him any rights, child support and visits are not connected, he has full rights to visit or to get those rights if he is not paying a penny.

If he is on the birth certificate and the mother of the chld has not went to court to get a order for custody, the child is still equally both of theirs

He only has to file to get a order to require visits.

Guess she needs to pick the baby daddy better if he is the type of guy who does not pay and would run off with his chid
