This guy or family gets lost of a major road and ended up driving through a dense fog that hides a long forgotten village that seems deserted. I remember a scene with a church and cemetery... and that's where my memory gets "foggy" lol.

In The Mouth Of Madness was my guess as well.

Makes me think of the made for TV movie called
Disappearance from 2002 but if you think it's from the 70's not sure it's in the mouth of madness either than
