I am a citizen... and a friend got close to me for legality issue as his H1 was on querry, he won my family's heart and got so close to my family that I started trusting him, he dumped me after he received his approval for his H1...

He admitted to have done this to me and my family because he wanted to maintain his USA status..

What is the penalty for this kind of a behavior ?

Which behavior, yours in trusting him or his for taking advantage of you?

What does you "started trusting" him? What did you sign in order for him to get approval?

No I did not sign anything for his approval. I was just his backup if his H1 doesn't get approved then he would get married to me.
