How do troubleshoot a Performa side by side refrigerator/freezer that isn't getting cold enough? Fridge and freezer were cooling fine until I cleaned the fridge side. Now the frig temp is about 60 degrees and the freezer temp is about 20 degrees.

Did you clean the coils under the refrigerator? You have to unplug it and spray the coils down with spray cleaner like a good grease cutter then wash off with sprayer on water hose. It does not take much water, but if you do not clean them it will burn up the compressor. I would guess that if the dirty coils are at fault you don't have long before you will need a new compressor and if it burns up from dirty coils it is not covered under any warranty or insurance. Frezzer side is cold, fridge side is warm, I have noticed that the air coming from frezzer side will stop blowing into fridge, I can tap below icemaker and it will blow a little while help

After you clean it check out that fan. Check it with a meter and see what you get. You should have about 1-3 k-ohms. If it's open or grounded replace it. See if it's getting voltage with the meter switched to volts. If not, you have a wire broken somewhere, which sounds like the problem. Check at the thermostat for a broken wire and where you tapped it.
