    Please help with my ge frig
    I'm having the same problem with my ge side by side,the ice will not go away
    I've replaced the defrost thermosat and defrost heater,and I'm still having the same problem.What else could be wrong?Is there another part I can replace?Please help any answer would greatly be appreaciated...

    Did you replace the defrost timer? I just love part replacers.

    Did you test these parts with a meter or just guess at it? There are too many parts to play the guessing game.

    Yes I'm not sure what my husband has checked with the meter,but everything he as checked seems to be OK... can and shoud he check that part?

    You always check anything you are going to replace. The part may not be bad. He must have missed a safety and left something dirty so that a safety blew out. You cannot be sloppy of you will be replacing safeties every time you run the dryer. There are several air passages in the dryer that you have to remove and clean out. Sometimes there is one in the door, for example, and you have two in back.
