    Is a tenant obligated to pay rent on an apartment if the property is in short-sale/foreclosure; property is located in San Jose, CA.

    A tenant is obligated to pay rent as long as they occupy a rental. Why would you think the owner's financial troubles has any bearing on your obligation to pay rent?
