    Child Support and SSI
My husband and I have separated, and plan to have a collaborative divorce. Our child is autistic, and I have been trying to gey SSI benefits for him. My husband has agreed to pay $400/month in child support (I am the custodial parent). When my son starts receiving SSI benefits, will the amount of child support my husband and I agreed to during our collaborative divorce be affected, since he is paying above the state guidelines? (we live in Nzc). Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

As long as the amount you agreed to is signed off and part of the court ordered support, it can only be changed by either you or he going back to court to modify it.
