    Child support
    My son is now 3 yrs old . I am no longer with his mother we have been split up for about 6 months. She went down and filed in court and is telling me that she is going to get me for support all the way back from the time he was born
    I think that she an only get it from the date she filed but I'm not a lawyer can somebody help. We live in Indiana thanks

    Indiana law gives a lot of flexibility to judges in the awarding of child support. That being said, if you can prove that you lived together up to 6 months ago and supported the child during that time, I doubt if any support would be awarded prior to that point. If you can show that you have continued to help provide for your son since the breakup, that should be taken into account.
