    l2 visa dependent children
    Hello Sir/ madam,
--Myself hold a B2 visa (visitor) valid up to February 2020. I went to US for 7 weeks in May 2010 with my parents.
--My Husband has shifted to US office . He has L1 visa & got in March 2012 (3 years validity). Write now he is in US. He want to accompany me with my child.
--My child born in January 2012. My husband’s company have applied a visitor visa for my child. Now according to new rule child under 7 does not need to appear for the personal interview. We have to submit the documents to VFS only. We got rejection under 214(b) stating that there is no strong social economic and /or family ties outside the united states.
--Now we want to apply for L2 visa for my child. My Question is that
    1) I have to apply for L2 category with my child? We did not think that option because I have B2 already. What happens to my visitor visa in that case. I guess it will expire (converted to L2 valid for 3 yrs maximum). Suppose we did not get L2 visa then my B2 visa remains or it will expire?
    OR
    2) My child alone has to apply in L2 category?
Kindly help me. We are in so much confusion regarding both this case. Suggest the option which has higher chances to get the visa.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sanjana Shah
