What is a "small amount" of cocaine and how was it taken? Prior to that time do you have a history of use?

Smoke about 1/2 gram have not used in over 1 year

You couldn't have chosen a worse drug in relation to hair testing. Cocaine has the highest rate of incorporation (absorption) of any drug.

Whether that small amount will show in hair could depend on your ethnicity and hair color. Cocaine has a very high affinity for melanin... that's what gives your hair it's natural color. The darker and thicker your hair the greater the likelihood of absorption.

On the other hand, one time drug use is seldom detected in hair but due to the characteristics of cocaine and the rapidity of incorporation it is difficult to tell.

I note you said smoke. You aren't referring to crack are you?

Just looking for purity. Thin light and light coloration lessens the amount of drug absorbed therefore lessens the chance of immediate up-take*. There is also the possibility of being under cutoff in the screen.
