Look at step 2a, is it a small cap that covers the screw holding the handle onto the spindle? http://www.moen.com/consumer-support/installation-help/tutorial?id=moen0132 You may need to highlight and click on this link to open it.

No but if you follow all the steps in that tutorial you can replace the cartridge which is the most likely cause of the leak. Moen has lifetime warranty on parts. If you have time to wait they will ship you a cartridge free.

No! Bob's talking about the handle insert. Tell us more about the leak. Is it out the spout or from around the handler? Back to you, n Tom

Sounds like you have some trash under the cartridge that's preventing it from closing. The solution would be to shut the water off to the valve, open it up and remove the cartridge. Check the ports for any blockage. Now place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out the supplies. Reassemble and test, Better now? Tom

See previously before getting on this site I actually followed step by steps on YouTube. And it told me to do everything besides the last task u said, turn the water on and put a pan under it.. I didn't try that. I did feel inside it and it was pretty clean but I can try that I guess so u don't think it needs a new cartridge?

If you didn't flush out the supplies then you haven't cleaned the lines. If you still have the same problem then I would pull the cartridge and flush out the supplies. Good luck, Tom

Not if you still leave trash and mineral build up in the supplies. Flushing the supplies and the valve when you have it open is a given. It should be done every time the valve's open. Good luck, Tom
