    Can I file for sole custody of my daughter
    I have a ten month old daughter I basiclly brought her up on my own paid for everythink before an after she was born but the father still involved but doesn't pay anythink spends all hos money on fags beer an drugs he's on the birth certifiacte but she's in my last namee just wanted to noe if there any point in my going for sole custody of her !x

    You may always apply and ask for sole custody of the child, this is the most common request still. Sole custody does not mean the father will not get visitation with the child if he files for it.
    That is often misunderstood. So even with sole custody the father can get visitation rights to the child. You would also file for child support
