    Tub drain sealing
Ive recently replaced the drain kit and need to seal the tub drain. It was suggested that I use "fix-it-stick" epoxy putty for the drain it am reading different opinions. Please give feedback on the preferred sealant. Thank you

I've always used plumbers putty without problem and unlike epoxy... you don't have to replace the tub if the drain ever needs replaced.

How long will I have to wait before the tub is useable?

Plumbers putty is non-hardening.. and needs no cure time. Its ready to use as soon as you finish your work.

I assume however you mean sealing the drain to the tub so there is no leaks there... not the drain to other plumbing.
