    Will my wife get cleansing enemas before her lower gi
    My wife is scheduled for a lower gi. Will she get pre enemas the day of the test

    Didn't the doctor tell her and maybe give her a list of instructions for prep?

    She will have to do a cleanising routine the day BEFORE her lower GI... same as for a colonoscopy.

    Except those aren't really enemas... because they work from the hole at the other end of the gi tract, the entry not the exit hole... basically induces a wicked case of the runs and you drink enough fluids to flush everything out. Rather unpleasent experience.

    Before my procedure, I had to drink a gallon of water into which I mixed a powder -- tasted like flat Gatorade.

    The one I did tasted like Dishwater someone spilled a little gatorade into.

    And the other type that uses a couple bottles of Magneseium Citrate and Ducolax tablets isn't a whole lot better...
