    PR650NBRT Water Heater Pilot Light
My State Elect water heater model PR650NBRT with a serial # of M02214881 just started having a problem with the pilot light staying lite. I discovered I had no hot water, checked circuit breakers and gas supply, everything was good. Opened access panel and found pilot lite out. I lite the pilot light in the morning and when I returned home that evening it was out again. What do you think the problem may be?

    Hi Willie

In most cases like this you will find that the THERMOCOUPLE is shot and needs to be replaced.

I would get a universal 30" water heater thermocouple (about $6.00) and a simple electrical tester (about $12.00) and then call state industries technical department and work with them directly. They will tell you how to test the thermocouple, the gas valve, etc.

You can contact them @ State Industries - Solid.State.

Click on the contact link at the top of the page.

Let me know how you make out, OK?
