    Evicting my roommate in Pennsylvania
I want to evict my roommate and need to know the correct procedure. From my understanding, since I rented the apartment initially over a year ago, I am basically his landlord so I need to be the person to evict, not my landlord (who by the way wants him out too). I believe I need to give formal written notice to him (what should this say?) then proceed to magistrate level if he refuses to leave. I need the timeframes required by law and any advise I can get.
PLEASE HELP... this situation has become unbearable.

    Thank you!

This is to inform you that your tenancy is being terminated as of <insert date 30 days from date of notice>. Please vacate by this date or we will be forced to proceed with eviction proceedings.

That's all you need. Notice requirement is 30 days.

Yes, you are correct, I have no lease either with the landlord or the person I let move in. Thank you for the info... The link you provided is the most useful info I have received.
