Should I open all of them up for comments? I plan to post two a week, on Monday and on Thursday (and welcome your interest in and willingness to write for the blog :)).

At this point in time Im going to suggest no on comments for the blog. The reason being is it may discourage those that are thinking of writing an article and won't just because some troll left something nasty.

Also the link that is on the current blog page isn't an "active" link. Some people may not think to copy paste. I know your having a tough time with getting people to post an article but so far the animal theme is pushing its limits unless you would like the blog to be exclusive.

Maybe as a suggestion for articles you could have some "how to" types that show off the features of AMHD or how to do things that improve your online experience. Even reviews of movies may be a welcome change of pace on occasion.

You could also create a name to post the blog items with and keep the like / dislike feature so you can have a running tally of what is working or not. Now that your in baby shoes its time to start making those first steps into a full running awesome blog that you want it to be.

Thanks for your comments, dad. Actually, I have no problems finding people who are willing to write essays, so that's not a problem. I received so many pet stories--only one or two more are left to "publish"--and soon we will go into something else.

Cliff started the blog and handed it over to me, then he left and Ram had his opinion about how it should be done, and now admin (Roel) has his opinion about things, so I am sorting out all that plus trying to figure out what will work best for the community.

I would say open them for comments. We're adults and can take criticism... I think.

I would get prompts when a blog post gets a comment, and I can monitor them as a supermod. It might be worth a try, since I see some are getting quite a few "hits."
