If the mother is deceased and the child has no child support card where is the money going?
If the child is a minor, then the child needs to be placed with someone. This could be a relative or even an orphanage. But if there is a parent paying support, ti would usually be that parent.
That parent can then go to court to ask that support be stopped since they now have custody.
I don't know if this is nationwide but in my state at least, a debit card is issued to the custodial parent and all child support payments are made to the state or county of residence, (not exactly sure which, but I'm pretty sure county) the money is then transferred to the account for use by the custodial parent.
If I remember correctly it was mandatory.
Thanks for the answer. Then, in response to OP's question about this, how does OP know that there is no CS card? Is he/she the non-custodial parent? If child support is being paid by the non-custodial parent, it could be that no one is receiving child support, and the money is simply accumulating in the hands of the child support agency.
