I think my friend is cutting
I am wondering what cutting scars look like? My friend wore long sleeves for a while and still wears long pants even in the 100+ weather, I can't remember the last time I saw her in shorts or a skirt. The other day I saw the inside of her arm and she has thin lines all the way up it. I was wondering if these could be cutting scars? I had been wondering if she had been cutting before I saw the lines, and that's one reason I thought of that. And it also fits with her personality. She never talks about her emotions, skips a lot of meals (last week she ate maybe 1 out of 3) and she does sports and stuff. So I want to know if that could be what it is, and also, if it is, how to help her?

Tell someone, school counselor, your parents, their parents, a person who is cutting needs professional help

Here is a link to an excellent on-line publication that will assist when you suspect someone is self-injuring (see page 5).

It also contains links to programs and helpful agencies.

    Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Adolescence

By the way your notice of the inappropriate dress is very astute. I believe that is specifically listed.
