    Household items given to us want to be taken back by previous owner.
    After moving to a small town I was given many household items by a family member of my previous employer. Now that I quit working there they want it all back. We've had it all for about 2 months. Is this legal?

    They can always ask... you however are under no legal obligation to return any of them.

    If fact, its very bad manners to ask for a gift to be returned in situations like this. About the only time its appropriate when a very expensive gift is given like an engagement ring. And very few if any others.

    I wouldn't give them back. They are yours now.
