Adoption in court

I'm due in court on 18th of July for the final order of my child's adoption I do not want this to happen I want her home things have changed at home now it says on the letter I may be questioned on whether I want them to go ahead or to even oppose the order can I do this can I still fight for the right to have her home or is it too late please help

Me need more details here. Why is your child being put up for adoption in the first place? ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. How old is the child? How long has the child been out of the home and how long with the adoptive parents.

Probably, you can object to the adoption, but it might not get the child back, but rather have the child placed in foster care. Without knowing more background its hard to advise.

My child is two years of age taken 5 days after birth because her father was a peadophile and they didn't think I could protect her he's long gone I'm in a new relationship moved home working and I know I can protect her she came out of foster care to be adopted and had been with her adopted mother since Christmas but the adoption obviously isn't finalised I live in Sheffield and as far as I know my daughter does too I just want her home can I stop this adoption being final can I get her back or is it too late please help I'm in bits

You really need representation by a solicitor. I urge you to find one immediately.

Yes it is I'm going straight away to a solicitor Monday I'm just in bits till then I really hope I can get her back I want a chance I know I am a stronger person now and can definitely be a good mother thank u so much for your help I appreciate it

I agree, the social workers who took your child should have given you conditions on her being returned. And a time frame to fulfill those conditions. It would seem you didn't do this. At this point it would seem she knows her foster/adoptive parents better than she knows you. So it will be hard for court to return her to you.

You NEED a solicitor to advise you and represent you in court.

Thank you for your help I am going to see someone Monday my daughter saw me 5 days a week but hasn't seen me for a long time so ye you could say she hardly knows me I am a strong person and I will fight this hopefully my solicitor can help at least I'll get something and know where I stand thank u again
