My 5 yr old toy poodle is pooping more than usual. Some are formed and some look like ground up vienna sausage and kind of gooey. Makes me think there is some blood in the stool.

She is eating fine and happy, wags tail, etc. She did have puppies 10 weeks ago.

When she and her pups went in for their checkup did the Vet notice anything?

She could have inflammed bowls.. which is called colitis.. Colitis will cause icky formed poops, blood and mucous.

With puppies, because they run in poop... and no matter how clean you try and keep them, they can develop coccidia. The mother is prone to it, even though her immune system should be strong enough to fight off the parasite.

Any type of worm will cause icky poop...

Change in diet, which can trigger colitis, will create icky poop...

Just general stresses of life will cause this.

Either way, I think you should go to your vet and have a fecal done.

Sunday July 1st. our family had a "rib off" lots and lots of ribs for the competition, some with really spicy sauce.
I suspect she either stole a rib or she was given a rib.
Monday July 2nd she started having diarrhea I gave her a tablespoon of canned plain 100% pumpkin, once at 3pm and 7pm then again the next morning at breakfast. She now has mushy bloody stools.
She is hungry at meal times and her sleep schedule has not changed.
She seems "OK".
If it were one of my children I would have taken them to emergency days ago.
I do not want a gazillion dollar vet bill to find out that she is working it out.
Please advise.

Pumpkin is for constipation, not diarrhea.
If she is having bloody, mushy stools then she is really not "OK"

She may not be a child but she is your responsibility, why would you wait so long to take her in?
I doubt that the bill will be a gazillion dollars, but if you let her go on and get sicker and possibly dehydrated it could get more expensive.

She could have colitis, it could be something else, best to take her in and get it checked out.
