    Large Drainage Pipe Leaking
Hi I have a what must be a large drainage Sewer pipe in my basement, it is not under pressure. One of the joints is leaking, I noticed it after doing a few loads of wash. This pipe is the largest in my house. Can I seal it myself or do I need a plumber to fix it?
Hate to spend the money on a plumber... only to find I can do it myself.

A lot depends on if its PVC or cast iorn. Case pipe are often sealed with okum and melted lead. PVC can be sealed with PVC cement if you can dry and clean the leaking area. You could try silicone sealer on case iron, I just don't know if it will hold for long.
