I'd like to start a new entry for the blog, a regular thing that would be published, say, twice a month. Right now, I'm going to call it “Three of the Site's Most Interesting Questions.”
Here are my three submissions for this blog entry:
1) A Major Gross-Out Question by jugneet on November 29, 2011, was “tap water smelling foul, found dead lizard water tank, we have been using same water tap water smelt foul in the house, the smell was faint and we kept using the water for a week for drinking, cooking and bathing. When the smell became discernible we got the water tank cleaned and found a dead garden lizard in it.Water tank cleaned with bleaching powder. As yet feel no symptoms of ill health – please advise. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/pest-c...er-615766.html
Unfortunately, no one advised. I hope jugneet is still alive and well.
2) This one I call The Worst Homework Assignment Ever! Was posted by mariapaula on May 5, 2012, “Poem with all this words — Early, globally, total, America, high, foreigh, battleship, gross, north, worldwide, twilight, million, overseas, third, record, domestic, titanic, debuted, opened, turned, markets, two, good, summer, softer, hunger, whether, debut, profile, powerhouse, surprise, rerelease, franchise, stellar, similar, avatar, spent, century, weekends, woods, slapstick, office, produce, modest, box, run, cabin, games, stooges, performances, launch, rolling, including, putting, opening, braking, consecutive, massive, comedy, early. Make a poem with this words, you may use extra words like, the, was, there, going and more.” https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/readin...ml#post3108057
Mariapaula and I spent eight (8!! ) pages composing a poem that used many of her listed words. By the end, I had earned a lot of greenies and one empanada, but never heard a final report from mariapaula.
3) The Most Charming Question was asked on March 11, 2012, by sbyall: “What do fairies eat? I heard they eat things sweet and natural like apples, raspberries and bluberries. I think they also eat bread.” https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/resear...at-642679.html
In order to respond accurately, I Googled several good keywords and ended up at a quite lovely site run by the earth-element faery Ophelia Fey and discovered that both girl and boy faeries wear makeup. I pored over a long list of questions looking for faerie food answers and noticed in particular these exchanges:
How can I attract faeries to my house? Put out chocolate and just invite them to visit!
How do they stay warm in winter? They don't feel changes in temperature like humans do.
What should I do if I meet a faerie? It depends on what kind of mood it's in.
Do faeries have pets? Yes, but not wolverines, Tasmanian Devils, Gila monsters or Komodo dragons – too temperamental.
And then, it came to mind after finding an answer to the faeries-and-eating-food question, Do faeries have bathrooms? The answer? No, they don't because food vaporizes inside their bodies. Of course! That makes perfect sense!
