My 2 yr old spay rat terrier pees on my bed all the time. If I lock her out of the room she holds until I open the door. I am afraid I. Will have to get rid of her. Help!!

She is very unhappy with you ! Think back. Have you gone on vacation and left her with a house sitter, put her in a kennel?

The only time, one and only time, my walker hound peed on my bed (I thought she was jumping up to greet me while I unpacked my bag) squatted and peed right in front of me. I had no idea from this super trained dog! I had left her with a very expensive house sitter !

So, before you kick her out, think back and find out why she could be 'pissed off' at you.

How old was she when you go her? Did you ever properly potty train her? Is this a new behavior or something she's always done?

What tickle is saying is something I think is possible. My dog will pee on the couch from time to time and he had eaten the whole arm off the old couch when I left him for a week (also with a sitter who let him out in the morning and took him next door in the evenings till bed time). When I looked it up I found loads of info on why dogs do this most of them saying that dogs don't hold grudges (my opinion is that these are lies) Did you make your dog mad? It says also that this happens in dogs who's owners get upset when they find waste on the floor, and give the harsh "no" or even the nose in it thing after the mess is already there. Now the dog knows the mess on the floor is bad so she moves it to where its better hidden. Do either of these situations sound accurate?

If my dog had peed on my bed, me not knowing it, I probably would not have seen it. But the point is, dogs do hold grudges. Taffy had never done anything like that before and was perfectly house trained, a very clean dog. She jumped on the bed, as I said, as if to great me, looked me straight in the eye and squatted to pee! I don't know what else that could be; she was only about 3 then.

What I meant to say is something more like. If you can't think of a reason for a grudge, did you house train her by screaming or shoving her nose in it? The question was phrased as if this has been happening all during her 2 years of life. Directed at the OP
