When I pulled into my driveway and turned my handlebars to the left my engine strated reving (like when the throttle is being cranked) -- any idea what is going on??

The throttle cable needs to be rerouted, may be catching on something?

Thank you. I thought that might be. Was hoping not to have to remove the gas tank to check it out (the cable disappears under the tank). So,. this is what I will try tomorrow. Again, thank you for the suggestion. Since I recently retired I decided that I do have the time to start working on my bike again (like I use to do in my younger years).

You were right. Thank you. Took awhile to get back. Just kind of scarey to start working on your bike when you have not done it in years. The cable was to long and twisted and twisted around and then a plastic tie to hold it together. Funny and creepy looking when the tank came off. My friend and I laughed and shook our head.
