    Furnace shutting down
I have an Amana 80 high efficiency furnace. Recently had to replace the ignitor.
Since then the furnace will shut off periodically. I'll reset it, and it seems to works fine, but it will shut off again. Also, is it normal for the ignitor to go through 3 cycles before the furnce kicks in?

Ignitor cold resistance should be 40-100 ohms.Make sure furnace is grounded well. Probably the flame sensor is bad

Look for a diagnostic code next time it fails to start.

Clean the flame sensor and see if that stops the cycling...

I'm wondering if it might be the time limit switch. Sometimes these are re-called items so they can be replaced/repaired for free by the manufacturer. Certainly worth checking out.
