    State Select water heaters
I have a 30 gallon State Select Water Heater Model GS630YBRS. It is just under 6 years old and still under warranty. After I get out of the shower the burner will kick on. Before it is done heating the tank it will go "thunk" and will turn off the burner and blow out the pilot light. Sometimes the Gas valve box on the outside of the tank will really heat up when this happens. My plumber has replaced the gas valve and that is not the issue- it is still doing it. Any other suggestions?

    Hi Kim

Let's not even mess guessing at this, OK?

Contact State water heaters directly by clicking on this link:

State Industries | Customer Service | Cross Reference Guide

They're pretty quick at responding so fill in the form and ask them to call you directly so you can work through things. I'm guessing you can discuss this and make good suggestions for the plumber... can't hurt to get a call back and a reference number when chatting with tech. support.

I believe they are closed on weekends so fil out the form ASAP and hopefully you guys can figure this out quickly!

    Good luck!
