    Louisiana law inheritance property
I read somewhere: "in some states, property acquired during the marriage can also be excluded from marital property if It was a gift or inheritance granted to one spouse during the marriage". What does the state of Louisiana say about this?

My Mother and Father inherited 25 acres of property including their home from my Grandparents (my Father's parents) during their marriage. After 58 years of marriage, they are divorcing. Would there be an argument that their property and home would not be considered community property since he inherited the property? Or would Louisiana law consider their property as community property in which each would be entitled to half?
