I am trying to figure out were my well is. My water tank sounds odd when it's filling and I think it might have to do with the well, but do not know were it's located. I've lived in the house many years, but never thought about it until now and it's not on any of my paperwork from the purchase of the house.

See where the water pipe enters the home. Your well is likely within 25' of that location straight out through the wall. Unless there is a manhole you aren't going to see or be able to do much.Call some well companies and get their bids on the work, it could be a pump issue and not the well.

We couldn't find my well either, and the town has no record of it. We finally found it under a little 9" square piece of lumber set low in the grass, about 20' from the house as ballengerb1 says. (I had been looking for a large heavy cover at least 2' square.)
