I rescued my boston terrior mix two months before my ex and I got together she is refusing to let me see her do I have any ground to stand on in court

Who registered the dog? Whose name is on the Vet's records?

Her tag we got at wal mart has my last name we use a free vet service that has both our names on it

I'm asking about the license and/or dog registration. An ID tag means nothing.

If Vet records are in both names (not yours alone) you both own the dog.
