Having had black hair for more than 6 years I wanted to have brown hair. I used Colour before and dyed it brown. It looked good but when it faded I noticed some reddy gingery bits. So, I decided to strip it with bleach and put on a brown but it went a strawberry blonde with a tinge of green. In a panic I put a dark brown on there and it has corrected it but I still have an almost grey tinge - I realise now that I used ash brown straight onto bleached hair and hence the colour green.

My question is - the ash brown is a semi - if I keep washing it with clarify shampoo can I just get rid of this tinge and then be left with dark brown hair?

I'm not a hair stylist but have dyed my hair every color imaginable at some point in my life. In my experience it will only get greener,I used a brown with warm red undertones to get rid of it.It turned out pretty and only looked a little reddish in the sun . However depending on were you live if you have "Sally" beauty supply stores they are usually very knowledgeable in correcting color mishaps.
