My dad has this old painting that he says is an oil on canvas painting. I am waiting for a picture from him of the signature and painting, or to go and get one myself, but the name appears to be?? Ronde or ?onde for the last part. It could be something else but does anyone know of a painter either of german background or somewhere near South Dakota perhaps that has a name like this, or a painter anywhere with a name like this?

Also, another possibility (more likely because I was shown it over skype) is Ronai or Rondi or Ronal... idk if it helps anymore

I don't have a way to get a picture of it, but after searching I found Jozsef Rippl-Ronai and his signature is almost identical if not identical to the one I have. It is what appears to be a original oil painting! I don't know if it is worth anything but here is what the signature of the picture of one I found looks like, and trust me is pretty identical to the one I have. http://www.drawrm.com/270m.jpg they say they do not know if it was by Jozsef Rippl Ronai or not, but if it is, my painting would be too!!
