Wax ring or spacers which is better
I have about a 1" space now between my toilet and the flange and 1 plumber says use spacers and another says use multiple wax rings. Which is better or the right way to install my toilet?

    Thanks KP

The right way is fix the flange so it's the right height... and not hire the guy that tells you to stack wax rings... for anything at all in the future.

We installed thick travertine which caused the space in between. Should we now use a flange extender instead of the spacers?
