I have a hampton bay ceiling fan that I work with remote. The remote has stopped working... so I now have no lights in my livingroom. I have tried replacing the battery in the remote and its still not working. The red light comes on when you push buttons but still nothing happens. Please help

You need to open the canopy to test for power even reaching the incoming side for the receiver.
