Divorce final, husband contesting his default
Divorce final, husband had 30 days to contest and did.. he never showed up in court and now we are in court every month with case being continued. How can a lawyer let this go on for so long? His lawyer wants to put a proposal on table but has not in the last 3 court dates.. now I have received another copy of his financial affidavit 11.02 and I'm being asked to submit an updated one as well. Still no proposal. I feel these continuations will continue until one of us just gives up and I not get what was granted in the decree. How long can this go on and should I demand my lawyer to let my decree stand as is due to the fact he never showed up?
Nervous breakdown is on the way here..

Attorneys can keep this going for years and years. What does he want, that is different from what you want. ** division of property issue ?**

But as long as your "ex's" attorney wants to keep putting it off it can be continued and continued and continued

@Fr-Chuck. What he wants is for me not to get half of his pensions, nor does he want to pay spousal support. He doesn't want to pay my lawyers fees either. Everything that was in the decree he wants from me. Mind you, he never came to court!
