    Rescinding lease termination
I gave a 60 days notice to break my lease (renting an apartment in California); I don't want to leave , can I cancel my notice since I still have 6 months on my lease? Shall I do it in writing and give the letter to leasing office or mail it to them, minding I have 1 more week before the time is up!
    Thank you.

You can certainly give it a try. But if they have found someone else to lease the premises, they are not obligated to let you stay.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, did they accept your notice? Generally, you can't break a lease unless the landlord agrees. But the bottom line is whether they have relet the unit. If they haven't they may agree to allow you to rescind.

So you need to talk to them first thing tmmw.
