I just found out I have hsv1. My ob said it is oral but is down south is that possiable.and what do I do to kep partners safe

There are two types of herpes virus - I and II. Herpes I usually affects the oral areas and the herpes II generally infects the genital areas. But sometimes HSV I can infect the genital and the HSV II can infect the mouth and oral cavity. This is quite uncommon.

You need a blood test to determine which of the viruses you have - HSV I or HSV II
