    Post-dated check
When getting a cash advance at a check cashing store do I have to bring a post-dated check of my own or does these stores have a post-dated check that I can fill out with my checking accounts information, either on paper or electronically?

How could they have "YOUR CHECK" to fill out. You are the only person who has your checks, your account number, your routing numbers.

You bring your check and write them a check, POST dated is just a future date. That way, on the date you write on the check, they go to the bank and cash it, if you don't have the money in the bank it is a bad check, and they can go though the police and or the court to get their money

When you post date a check they can cash it when ever they want banks don't look at dates unless its an old date 3 months old. So you not protected but you got to do it to get your advance!

To answer your question ask the business that gives you the advance. Because you can give them a debit card number

Most of the cash advance want the written checks, it gives them a better ability to threaten the person to force them to pay, if they don't have money in the account, it is a bad check, if they close the account it is a bad check on a closed account ( much more serious)

If they merely have a debit number, if the account is closed or no money in account, the check cashing place just does not get paid, no criminal activity to threaten person with.

And some banks really do check the dates, ( I agree most don't) I had a post dated check three times in last two months ( I did not know it was given post dated) and went to do my business deposit, the clerk saw it and would not deposit it each time.

If a post dated check is drawn on your bank they can easily see the check is nsf. They want deposit it ,are especially want cash it and definitely want ,if you don't have a balance of double that amount in your own account . THANKS, I LOVE TO LEARN AND IM NOT AN EXPERT
