So, you are saying it depends on the what was stated in the judgement? This is in Arizona. I believe it's an insurance company that is trying to collect. But, have you heard that it gest disposed once the time is served?

It's not an either/or kind of sentence.. It's a BOTH kind of sentence.. If it's exorbitant, it's because the victim is OUT that kind of money, and the thought is that the perpetrator HAS that money somewhere... If the amount is too high, it COULD have been argued in court. The victim must be able to PROVE their losses...

Having said that, if you are unable to pay, pay as MUCH as you can for as long as you can... IF you show GOOD FAITH in attempting to pay, the court will probably forgive the balance at some time in the future.
