Okay so I'm a 14 year old freshman in high school. There's this girls that has been my best friend for a long time, but I have stronger feelings for her. So I went with her to 8th grade prom as friends, but after the formal I made a move on her and we kissed. After that we talked for about a week, and she and her best friend kept urging me to ask her out, so I did. She said yes, but then the next day she started breaking down crying and said she wasn't ready for a relationship. Every time I've tried to talk or flirt with her, she keeps saying that we're such good friends, blah blah blah. Then the other day, we were hanging out and she said she wanted to talk. Then she started saying again about how we aren't meant to be together, and cried through the whole thing. I'm so lost and confused. Help!

You've just lost a friend, that's all I can say. It's really hard to stay friends with someone you developed feelings for, and twice as hard if you acted upon such feelings.

You're 14 years old and have a lifetime ahead of you, slow down a bit man, there will be plenty other girls.
