Did they use an ultrasound machine or a doppler at this appointment? A doppler is a hand-held gadget used to listen to the baby and there is no screen to see the baby like there is with an ultrasound.

At 17 weeks it can be quite difficult to find a heartbeat because the baby is so small and very active. They tend to move around a lot at that age. It is also very common to find the heartbeat down around the pubic hair line.

They used a doppler machine when they checked for babies heart beat it just really worried me because my partner and I had been arguing for 3 days straight and also after intercorse I was in really bad pain which sometimes wouldn't go away till the next day or it will go away straight away. Thank you for your reply.
