I have 4 wires 2 red 2 white. The furnace works. But nothing happens with the air conditioner clearly I've wired it wrong.

You are supposed to have 4 wires minimum for heat and ac. White, red, yellow, green. I have now way to tell you how to track or test the wiring without the proper colors. Someone who did the wiring did not know what they were doing so it was probably a home made job and not wired by a professional. Sorry but there is no way I can help you.
